Is this just the TwoShot web app with extra steps?

No — the MCP server exposes real tools (search samples, start assistant session, import media, download results, get content) directly to Claude Code. Claude reasons about what to do; TwoShot executes the work on our GPUs. You never leave the terminal and you get the same results you'd get clicking through the web app.

Does it work with the free tier?

Yes. You authenticate with your TwoShot account on first use; whatever your account can do in the browser, Claude Code can do via the MCP server. The free tier includes credits on signup that cover a handful of full remixes.

What happens if I lose connection mid-remix?

The remix job runs server-side and completes even if your terminal disconnects. Reconnect and ask Claude to fetch the most recent job — it'll find the finished file using twoshot_get_content. Your library persists across sessions.

Can I feed in a YouTube or SoundCloud URL?

Yes. The twoshot_import_media tool accepts HTTPS links from YouTube, SoundCloud, Spotify (via their open APIs), and direct file URLs. Claude handles the call for you — just paste the link in your prompt.

Can I chain multiple remixes in one prompt?

Yes. Claude Code is great at multi-step asks like 'remix this to 140 BPM lofi, then make a 30-second instrumental loop from just the intro, then master both'. It'll break the work into separate TwoShot jobs and deliver them in order.

Is there a faster way than one command each time?

Run `claude mcp add twoshot --transport http https://mcp.twoshot.app/` once and it's permanent. Future Claude Code sessions find TwoShot automatically. For shared workspaces, commit the MCP config so your team inherits it.

How do I pull the finished file to my machine?

Ask Claude to 'give me the download URL' or 'save it locally' — it'll call twoshot_get_download_url and give you a curl command, or save directly via its filesystem tool if you've granted access.

Does this work with Claude models other than Sonnet?

Yes — any Claude model available in Claude Code works. Opus handles longer chains better; Haiku is faster for simple one-shot remixes. The TwoShot MCP server doesn't care which Claude you're running.
